Someone decided to turn in front of my '66 F100 last night.

They failed to yield on a left turn at an intersection and turned right in front of me as I was going through the intersection. Everyone is ok, except my beloved truck. They got a citation so, that is good for me on insurance. I am 99% sure they will total out my truck and I will promptly buy it back.

Fix the marker and the headlight (so you can aim your light properly), and leave the rest. Body damage adds character to old trucks.

Aww man, sucks to see vintage metal hurting like that just because someone didn't pay attention. At least your truck put up a good fight. Seems like it took a good bite out of the Jetta, and the truck looks like it can be saved.

Be careful, insurance companies tend to grossly reduce the value of older vehicles. I had basically the same thing happen several years back with a 72 F150. I bought the old truck for $500 and did a good bit of work on it having about $1800 invested by the time of the accident. The insurance adjuster came by a few days later and said the truck was totaled and offered me $650. I told him that wasn't enough as I had $1800 invested in it. He said that didn't matter, he had to go "by the book" on the value. At that point I rubbed the back of my neck and told him it still hurt quite a bit and I wanted $1800 and I wanted to keep the truck. He looked at me disgustedly and wrote me out a check for the full amount and I got to keep the truck. I don't particularly like doing things like that, but he was trying to screw me on the value and money I had invested.
